Abandoned by my Business Partners

I wish I knew how much business can hurt! I started a home business as a candle consultant and recruited other consultants to work in my team. It was fun to work together, much better than working alone. I thought these people were my friends. I tried to be a good sponsor, and I did receive compliments about my work. I trained these people, spent time helping them to build their business, and I went the extra mile to let them know I cared about them. What happened? Well, they all disappeared, one by one without telling me why! They stopped returning my calls and e-mails, and were never seen or heard from again. This was a long time ago but I still feel bad about it. These people were my friends, and they just disappeared! I still can't believe it.

If I were new and starting a business like this for the first time, one where you are recruiting for other sales people, I would tell people to watch out and protect yourself. Remember it's a business, don't get too personally involved. And don't feel too sad for the ingratitude and betrayal you might experience. Don't take it too personally. Just remember, just people other people treat you bad, doesn't mean you have to. Never give up on your dreams!
