Backup, backup, backup...

The purpose of my telling this story is to help others. I wish someone had told me this when I started in business.
Three little words that can save you a lot of heart ache and work are, ''Back up everything''. Back up your files, your mailing list, your important information etc.
When you back up, do it either onto the internet via an email service like gmail, burn your information on a CD, back it up onto another computer, but not on your working computer.
When I started my business and websites, I had a PC and although I thought I was fully protected, I had not one, but three incidents of destructive viruses hit my computer. On two occasions I was unable to recuperate anything. On one occasion I was able to save a few files.
Three years of work was lost, a subscriber list of over 1000 people and other original documents were scrapped!
That was the bad news, the good news is I back everything up. I hope this helps someone save themselves a lot of problems.
