So many small business owners are too busy to take time out, or just don’t know how, to research, learn about, and monitor developments in their business markets.
And many professionals working solo must either limit the number of projects they take on or face high stress levels as they face multiple deadlines on their own.
I started Econosystems to do market research, economics research and business writing for small business owners and independent professionals. My goal is to save my clients time and keep them up to date on what’s happening in their markets and industry.
With 17 years experience, I can research and write reports for business owners in a fraction of the time they could do it themselves. Econosystems’ clients can stay informed, even as they continue to serve customers and concentrate on running their business.
I also help independent professionals maximize revenue and minimize stress, either by serving as their virtual research assistant (via my information brokerage service) or as a subcontractor for their research contracts.
Independent professionals (economists, consultants and journalists) can bill more client hours or spend more time with family and friends when they hire Econosystems to help research and write their clients’ reports.
Econosystems provides the highest quality economics and market research services at moderate prices due to the low overhead of running my business from home. I provide customers with keen insight needed to run a successful business or organization. When working as a subcontractor on a project, I strive to provide valuable, reliable, and timely input for my client’s client.
Customer satisfaction is guaranteed (or a full refund is given) and that guarantee is part of every contract I sign.
Econosystems provides high quality, very personal customer service to each customer, regardless of contract size. Whether my client is a small business owner spending $50 for a business planning brainstorming session, or $4500 for a customized economic outlook, her success becomes my success and I put my heart into the project.
I chose the business of research and economics because economics has been my passion since college, and writing has been my passion since I was a little girl. Really! One of my earliest memories is writing "dog" and "cat" all over the basement walls when I was around 4 years old. I was so excited I could write words! To this day I don’t know why I didn’t get in trouble for doing it...
My web mistress, Janice Byer, posts weekly articles (written either by me or other Internet business owners) at Econosystems’ web site. Many people tell me they find the articles interesting and enjoyable, and come back regularly to check for updates.
I feel my web site is a success when I hear that. I also love combining inspirational sayings with beautiful photos and posting them bi-weekly at my web site, on the Inspiration page.
My tendency to work hard and never give up has helped me stay in business for 2 ½ years. I know that I’ve made mistakes, and will make more, but I will continue to learn so that I can be at home for my son after school and in the summer.
My inspiration comes from Gandhi: "If I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning."
I know also that my years of work experience help me to be successful. I would advise anyone who wants to earn a living from running a business to draw on past experience AND passion.
It’s too difficult to chuck our past completely and be profitable soon. Often if we search our hearts fully, we find that there were things about our past jobs that we enjoyed.
The great thing about building a business is that we can pick and choose the best of our work experience and move forward. Sometimes all we need is the freedom of our own business to grow and learn, and use what we already know for happiness.
