Home Business Success

home business success story

I guess mine is one of those home business success stories you never think could happen to you. Now I know that they do - and that it can happen for you, too.

Let me tell you how it happened for us. My name is Susan McFee. I've been a leader all my life, but didn't really know it until I went into business for myself.

I'm one of those people who likes making sure that things are done right, whether it's washing the car or making a nice meal. Nobody has to tell you. You just do it and do it well.

In all the jobs I've had, it meant making sure that my customers were happy. I've had a lot of jobs in a lot of different industries. Hospitality. Retail. Sales. You name it, I did it. I kept customers happy. I took the initiative to change a meal, upgrade a room, get them a refund. That's what I call leading. Leading customers to the best possible experience by serving them the best I knew how.

I got into trouble for it. All the time. I can't tell you how many times I heard, "You're giving them too much." I kept doing it because I knew that when you give a customer the best possible experience, you get a customer for life. A loyal customer who trusts that you will do the right thing for her or him.

Eventually, I got tired of taking the initiative and getting criticism instead of praise. Tired of creating loyal customers for employers who just didn't care. Tired of working with others who just wanted to do enough to get by. I decided to go into business for myself.

It went against everything I had ever been taught. Businesses were something other people ran. Not me. Besides that, I didn't know how. And how could I give up the security of a paycheck and risk falling flat on my face?

I was terrified. But I couldn't go on not being myself. I had to try something different. At first I tried part-time self-employment with my regular job. But after awhile I wanted more. I could see the possibilities - and wanted to see what would happen if I gave myself permission to go for it.

I finally made the leap. I became a leader with my own home business. I loved the feeling. I also discovered that I also loved being part of a team. And that a team can provide a lot more service to a lot more people than a single individual can.

I asked myself, "Why not create a home business that lets other leaders work together on a team?" And that's when LeadTeam was born. It's a team for leaders. It happened at the same time that the Internet made it possible to have a team with members anywhere in the world. And a business with customers anywhere in the world.

Today, LeadTeam is like the Internet. Rapidly expanding, continually evolving and enormously rewarding. Together, LeadTeam and the Internet enable us to provide the kind of service that creates the kind of loyal customers that other businesses only dream about.

On the Internet, loyalty is everything. The Internet has eliminated the traditional advantages of place, price and promotion. You know you can always get something cheaper somewhere on the net. And the net lets any business advertise anywhere - and everywhere.

Today, creating loyal customers is the key. And creating loyal customers is exactly what leaders on LeadTeam do exceptionally well. We know that when we give our customers the best possible experience, they're only too happy to tell everyone about how lucky they are to have found us. We have more customers and need more leaders to help serve them. And so LeadTeam just keeps getting better for leaders and customers.

That's my story. I tell it because I love working with other people who want to change the story of their lives for the better. I also tell it because I want to find out if you're a leader, too. And if you're ready to have a home business success story happen to you.
