Feeling Good About Empty Nest Syndrome... I have a son going off to college soon and a daughter going to high school. I knew these days were coming, when they did not need me to drive them everywhere, help with homework or help in their classrooms.
Now I will have a lot of extra time....
I wanted to make sure I was not going to be a mom who was trying to live through my kids. I am raising 2 great, confidant and respectful kids and I know they do not want me to be into their business constantly--but of course I will be a little. :)
So I am making sure I am going to be doing something that is rewarding and fun for me. I started a children's etiquette business 8 years ago and I have been teaching a few days a week to make some extra money.
I love working with kids and love seeing how happy they are when they learn some great etiquette and manner lessons.
Now that my kids are really busy it has given me time to make my business grow as I always hoped.
My kids are happy to see me enjoy what I do and making money at the same time. Remember that saying... "When Mama's happy, everyone's happy!"?
