Starting a Business from Home

I Wish I Knew Then, What I Know Now! As I pondered this question and looked back on two rather turbulent years of starting a manufacturing business with my office in my home, no one thing stands out as something I wish I knew then--many things stand out!
So, I wish I knew what I know now! So far, I have loved almost every minute of it, and I am so glad I took the leap of faith. As I ponder, some specifics come to mind:
I wish I knew how much I would change as a person over the course of the two years. At times it has been unsettling to exercise my new-found strengths and accept the way the changes influence my world view.
I wish had hired a sales person who had my interests, rather than her paycheck, at heart. It has cost me, but I will fortunately recover.
I've paid more than I had to for some things, and I wish I knew how and of whom to ask more questions, to be comfortable saying no and to move on when necessary.
Through it all, though, I am grateful for the experience. Making the mistakes and missteps has taught me to step back, assess and learn, let go, move on, and to know what's really important, and what's not when it comes to growing my business.
